East Frisian Christmas Tea is perfect for cozy afternoons, the Advent season, or as a special tea treat for the cold winter months.
In true East Frisian tradition, this black tea can be enjoyed with Kluntje or rock sugar and a dash of cream.
Ingredients:
Black tea, apple pieces, plum pieces (plums, anti-caking agent: rice flour), almond pieces, cinnamon, vanilla pieces, flavoring
Preparation
Use about 3 g of tea per cup (200 ml). Pour water heated to 100 °C over the black tea and let it steep for about 3 minutes.
At this steeping time, the tea develops a strong, balanced aroma. A longer steeping time allows more tannins and flavor compounds to be released—this makes the tea darker, stronger, and more astringent in flavor.
In the East Frisian style, the tea can be served with Kluntje or rock candy and a dash of cream. In our shop, you’ll find Kluntje, rock candy, string candy, and more….
